1. The Weather Channel (free/paid)
The name “Weather Channel” is for many people synonymous with weather forecasts.The app is a pretty solid option, with lots of video, maps, and other data.
There’s a lot packed in here, including a persistent temperature reading that lives in the notification bar. There are also many different alert options, allowing you to select notifications for rain, lighting strikes, or breaking news.
The app also has a monetization scheme called mPoints, which has a scroll of offers from other apps and companies. It lives to the right of the app’s main screen, but fortunately you can turn it off.
If you have an Android tablet the app is one of the few optimized for bigger screens. Included are plenty of widget choices to put all that screen real estate to work.

2. Accuweather (free)
Accuweather by Accuweather.com is a free option that gives you pretty much all of the information you need, including extended forecasts, hourly forecasts, and the app itself is also well designed. Other features include radar, Android Wear support, and the Minute Cast feature that lets you check on precipitation on a minute basis (estimated, of course).
The application itself was redesigned and it looks really good. The widget support is there, although the widgets are a tad unimaginative.

3. YoWeather (free/paid)
Maybe you don’t want to just see the weather. Perhaps you want to hear it also. YoWindow is a pretty unique experience, as it fills the screen with a live background which mimics the weather conditions.
The images also use a Parallax effect, so move around your phone to see the stars in the sky move. It’s a pretty fun app—check out the free version if you’re not sure you want to get all that noise with your daily forecast.

4. Weather Underground (free/paid)
Weather Underground just got a nice overhaul that will make Material Design fans happy. I find the new look makes it very easyto navigate, as all the content is focused into one stream, whereas other weather apps sometimes shift content into multiple areas. You’ll find Doppler radar, detailed forecasts, and rather easy-to-read charts.
I also appreciate the health section, as it has good information about the air quality, UV index, and influenza details. You also get some widget options, though it would be better if the 4x1 would stretch over one more space for larger devices like the Nexus6P or Galaxy Note.
The app is ad-supported, but you can nix them with a $1.99 per year annual subscription.

5. Eye in the Sky Weather (free/paid)
Eye in the Sky Weather by CITC is an app our users requested we try out and it turns out that it’s pretty good. The interface is a flat matte design that looks really good and the application includes all of your most basic features, including current weather, forecasts, and extended forecasts. There is also Dashclock support if you need that.
The widget selection is above average and you can customize the weather widgets as well. It’s a bit simple comparatively speaking, but it’s great if you just need something quick and easy.

6. 1Weather (free/paid)
If you like your weather app dark and to the point, then 1Weather is a good choice. The black background makes the text easy on the eyes, although you can customize some elements of the view with landscapes, live weather views, or cats (it's still the Internet, after all).
The app also follows the new permissions model in Marshmallow, so you can agree specifically to each request for your locationor other personal data.
The widget choices are good, especially with some larger ones that would stretch out on a big phone or tablet. If you want to nix the ads (there’s a fake Facebook notification that’s particularly annoying) it’s $1.99.

7. Yahoo Weather (free)
If you enjoy being wowed by visuals, then you'll enjoy Yahoo Weather. If it's raining your screen will mimic a window that's dripping with water and condensation. Scroll down for a five- or ten-day forecast, maps, wind, pressure, and sunset information with a pleasant aesthetic.

8. InstaWeather Pro (free/paid)
The “Insta” in the name should offer a clue that this is a more social-focused app. Instead of just telling you about the weather, InstaWeather wants you to share it with others, complete with a selfie or picture from your recent vacation.
It’s great if you’re traveling, as you can makethe family back in Minnesota jealous when you show them the daily forecast and a shotof everyone on the beach in Hawaii.
Another nice little perk, however, is that InstaWeather can create widgets out of your personal pictures, so your child, pet, or just a favorite scene can live on the home screen with the forcast.

9. Google Now (free)
Google Now has been replacing a lot of things on Android phones and weather is one of them. The app will send you periodic weather updates, weather alerts, and you can even ask for the weather and it will show you.
Opening Google Now almost always puts the weather right on top so you can see it at a glance. It’s not a dedicated weather app which means a lot of features, like extended forecast or weather radars require a little digging, but this is a great option for people who already use Google Now that may just need to glance at the weather quickly. It also already comes on most and latest Android devices.

10. GO Weather Forecast and Widgets (free/paid)
GO Weather by GO Launcher EX is a long time favorite for Android users and it ranks among the most successful and popular on the list. In terms of features, it runs the entire gambit with current weather, forecasts, radar, a sleek design, weather widgets, and even more obscure stuff like wind forecasts, lifestyle tips, and more.
There are also theming options and a paid version that gets rid of external advertising. Overall, it’s an above average weather app but it may be a bit on the bloated side.

11. WeatherBug (free)
WeatherBug is a long time favorite of Android users and it was one of the first truly full featured weather apps. Today, it’s totally free to use (without in-app purchases) and while that’s made some paid users unhappy, new users get to use WeatherBug free.
It includes weather forecasts, severe weather alerts, widgets, and even stuff like live weather and traffic cams so you can see the weather. There is also a selection of weather widgets as a separate app to adorn your home screen that are pretty decent.

Now this one is a widget that you can place on your home screen, but you’ll also be able to see the complete forecast right there on your home screen.

13. Transparent Clock & Weather (free)
This widget here is also a clock/weather widget and is able to show you the latest weather right there on your home screen. Like many other widgets, you are also able to adjust how often the widget will refresh to get the latest weather. It’ll show you the high and low for the day, as well as the conditions to expect.

This app isn’t quite aweather app, insteadwhat it does is it tracks storms using crowd sourced data. So you can see exactly how close you are to the lightning strikes and see the latest up-to-date information on when the storm might hit your area.
This app works for thunderstorms, hurricanes, tornadoes, floods and much more. It’s a great app to have on your device when the weather takes a turn for the worse.

15. NOAA Weather International (free)
This is the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association’s app for bringing you the latest on the weather. You can get up to 7-day forecasts for anywhere in the world, using this app.
If you’re looking for an accurate forecast, the NOAA is the most accurate one you can get, hands down. You can bookmark certain locations in the app to check the weather on whenever you want. Additionally you can see your current location.

ReplyDeletethis tool isn’t free or cheap, they do offer a free two-week trial. Alternatively, you can use their While competitors like on the topic of SEO, I wanted to mention Ahrefs. Ahrefs is a tool that allows you to do keyword While research to ensure you’re targeting the best keywords with the highest traffic and lowest difficulty to rank for we’reMoz or SEMrush (who also have free trials, hint hint). Whichever one you choose, if you’re serious about ranking on Google, I highly recommend a keyword research tool. Without them, you only have access to Google Keyword Planner, which doesn’t really help you find the right keywords.
