It's no doubt that paid service is superior than free service but if you are new to blogging and has not any experience and also do not want to spend money for it as starting then blogger is more valuable for you.
I personally think blogger is better for beginners it is easy to use. If you are new in blogging field and don't want to spend a single penny on blogging i suggest blogger not WordPress becouse Blogger is a blogging service provided by the tech giant Google. It is free, reliable most of the time, and quite enough to publish your stuff on the web, whereas WordPress is paid and cost around $4.5 month.
Don't worry you can easly switch Blogger to WordPress later without losing any content when your blog grow up and start generating enough money for hosting WordPress Blog, We will talk deeply about it later but first lets focus on creating blog.

How to Create a Blog for free on Blogger
As i already told you above that paid is better that free i.e WordPress.org (Self Hosted) is much better than WordPress.com and Blogger.com, but as you are new and it's compulsory that you do not want to spend money and want to get more knowledge and more experience about creating blog, if yes then you can get start your blogging journey for free.
So let's start the complete method regarding to start a free website using blogger...
Step 1:-
*: Navigate to Blogger.com by typing the URL in your web browser.
Step 2:-
*: Sign in with your Gmail Account. if you have not then create new Gmail account now Gmail .
Step 3:-
*: Click on "Continue to Blogger" (If recently you have created Gmail ID and visit Blogger.com then this screenshot will appear to confirm your profile, otherwise it will not appear)
Step 4:-
*: Now you see two options "continue with limited blogger profile" or "create Google plus profile"
Optional :- if you don't want to share your name on your blog, choose to a limited Blogger Profile or if you want to share your name and blog contents in Google plus Create profile in Google plus in my experience Google plus profile is much profitable for getting traffic from Google plus. You can switch your profile any time in setting later.
Step 5:-
*: Now after creating profile. Click the New Blog button Create a New Blog window should appear.
Step 6:-
*: Type title name for your blog in the Title box.
Step 7:-
*: Type in a short address that relates to your blog's title in the Address box.
Important! If the address is already taken you will see a yellow box with an exclamation point. If the address is available, you will see a blue box with a check mark.
Step 8:-
*: choose a template from the options provided by clicking on one. When a template is selected, it will have a blue box around it. You must select a default template for now, but you will be able to customize it later on Layout option situated in Blogs dashboard .*: Finally Click "Create Blog button"
hooray, you have just created your first blog Congrats . Now its time to your first post.
Creating a Post
*: Click the pencil icon on it. When you hover over it it should say Create New Post.
*: Type a title for your post in the post box.
*: Type up a post in the post field below the post box.
Using the Toolbar
Going in order from left to right1. Click to undo changes in your post
2. Click to redo changes you undid.
3. Click to change the font of your post.
4. Click to change the text size.
5. Click to make text into a heading, subheading, or minor heading
6. Click to bold text
7. Click to italicize text
8. Click to underline text.
9. Click to strike through text.
10. Click to change the color of your text.
11. Click to highlight your text.
12. Click to make text into a link
13. Click to insert a photo. A Select A File window should appear. Click theChoose Filebutton. A File Upload window should appear Select a photo from your computer and clickOpenClick theAdd Selectedbutton.
14. Click to insert a video. A Select A File window should appear. Click the Choose a video to upload button. A File Upload window should appear. Select a video from your computer and click theOpenbutton.
15. Click to insert a jump break.
16. Click to align text.
17. Click to number your text.
18. Click to bullet your text.
19. Click to format a quote.
20. Click to remove any formatting on your text.
21. Click to check the spelling on your post.
Using the Post Settings Menu
This menu is located to the right of the post field.
1. To add labels to your post click the Labels tab to expand it. Then type labels into the text box and click Done These labels will be words readers can search for your post with.
2. To schedule a time for your post to go live, click the Schedule tab to expand it. Then choose Set Date and Time from the menu by clicking the circle next to it. Then select a date and time for the post to go live. You can do this by either typing in a date or selecting one from the calendar. Then click Done.
3. To customize your permalink, click the Permalink tab to expand it. Then select Custom Permalink by clicking the circle next to it. Then type in a custom permalink and click Done. This is now the URL for your post.
4. Search Description write down short description about post contents which will be shown below your post title in Google search.
5. To add your location, click the Location tab to expand it. Then type your location into the Search bar and click Search.The map should show you your location.Then click Done.
6. The Options tab allows you to do many things once expanded To disallow or allow reader comments, choose the preferred option by clicking the circle next to it. To change the compose mode, choose the preferred option by clicking the circle next to it. To change the way line breaks are made, choose the preferred option by clicking the circle next to it.
Note:- Only "Label" and "Search Description" is necessary other options are optional.
