Index/Submit Your New Blog In Google Search Console
If you’ve just started your blogging career, you might not know how search engines work and how to display your Blog/website in the Google search results to drive traffic to your blog/website. You can submit or index your blog/website in Google search console without spending a single Penny. if you can help Google to find your blog. To do that, you should know about Google Search Console (earlier known as Google Webmaster Tools).
Search Console is a free tool offered by Google which helps you to display our website/blogs post and other stuffs in Google search results (index or crawl your website). This tool also helps you to improve the crawling and Organic traffic rate of your blog/website .
In this post we are going to Submit blog post Sitemap and Static Pages sitemap to Google Search Console.
What is Sitemap
As the word sounds, a sitemap is actually a map of your website. A sitemap is either an XML or HTML file that contains all the URLs of the pages inside your blog or site. Sitemap is very important for search engine optimization. Sitemap create a file for web crawlers, as a result Google bot get the idea about your web pages and it helps to crawl in search engine.
When you submit an XML sitemap to Google search console, it helps search engine crawlers to find all the URLs on your website and add it to their database.
There are various parts of a sitemap that affect the crawling rate of your blog, such as the size of your sitemap, the number of URLs in your sitemap, indexing priority of pages on your blog, updating frequency, etc.

First of all, you need to verify your Blog or Site in Google Search Console that you’re the owner of the Blog or website. You can verify your site Here Login to Google webmaster then select Search Console button and then select your Blog and flow page instructions to verify your blog.
And, the second and most important task is to submit your blog/website sitemap to search console.
If you success to Verify your Blog/website let's move for next steps.
Now after verifying your Blog/site below is the screen that will appear after verifying your Blog/site.
1. Now Click on Crawl, options will expand.
2. click on Sitemaps option under Crawl section.
3. Now, at the top-right corner of the page, click on Add/Test Sitemap button. A text box will appear see below screenshot.
4. Add the below code in the provided text field.
This is the sitemap code for your blogger blog post that you need to add.
5. Now Press “Submit Sitemap” button.
6. Refresh the page.
Cheers ! You have finished the process of submitting your blog sitemap now your Sitemap is pending and soon indexed in google search console.
Note: The above sitemap will work for 500 posts only. When you reach more than 500 posts on your blog, then you have to add one more sitemap.
The Whole procedure will be same like above, but at this time you have to add this code.
That's it. You are done with submitting the sitemap for blog posts. Now let's move to the 2nd part i.e submitting sitemap for blogspot static pages.
Here is How to Submit Blogger Static Pages Sitemap to Google Search Console?
Now its time to submit Static Pages Sitemap to google search console its easy and same procedure with little changes in code. But first let us know about Static pages.
Aften you see links when you visit on any site or blogs like Contect us, About us etc. In top and bottom of Site/blog are called Static pages.
Static pages also very essential part of any Blog, because it contains much important information. Most of the Blogger or webmaster creates About Us, Contact Us, Privacy Policy, Disclaimer, Terms of Service pages on Blogger static pages. As a result visitors often can visit those pages from respective Blog. If Google bot crawl those static pages on search engine then visitors will often see those pages on search engines result pages.
There is good news that Google Search Console is now started accepting sitemap for Blog’s static pages. And webmaster can submit separate sitemap for Blogger static pages. So lets start follow below steps to Submit your blog/site Static page Sitemap on google search Console.
1. Go to Googls Wapmaster tool.
2. Now click on your blog name to enter to the webmaster Tools.
3. From left side click on Crawl to expend and select Sitemaps.
4. At the top right side click on red color ADD/TEST SITEMAP button.
5. Now dialog box will appear just copy below code and paste after your site name.
Now Full adress will show like below address
You have to add only sitemap-pages.xml line for static page sitemap submission. If you wish to test your sitemap then click “Test”.
6. When they test is completed, click “View test results” to check for errors. Generally error may arise for spelling error or other reason, so fix your errors. And click “Close test” to exit from Sitemap testing page.
Now you will see your sitemap has submitted in Google search console but pending for indexing. Generally it will take 12 to 24 hours to get indexed in Google search console. So please be patient and wait until indexing the static page sitemap on Google search console. Now its time to check your Sitemap
You can check your sitemap after submission. This is very easy to locate your static page sitemap. But for Blogger default and custom you can use similar system.
If you are using Google hosted Domain then you can check your static page sitemap like below. Just replace “Sharemedude” with your Blog name. Copy the URL and directly paste it in your browser’s address bar and hit the “Enter” key from keyboard and see the sitemap.
For custom Domin Blogger site you can check your sitemap like below URL.
Sometimes sitemap may not index. It can happen because of “Custom Robots Tags”. Suppose you have selected the option “noindex“ for specific page then Google search console won’t index that page under your static page sitemap.
